Technological Advancement in Poly'badan

The technological advancement of higher education institutions has been a topic of interest for many years. With the rapid pace of technological innovation, universities, polytechnics and colleges are constantly looking for ways to integrate new technologies into their classrooms, management functions and research facilities. From virtual reality simulations to Computer Based Tests and as well online classrooms, these advancements have transformed the way students learn and interact with their lecturers and peers. 

Technology cannot be overemphasized due to its indispensable usefulness and impact in today's world. Technology is globally used and virtually accepted by the people.

Specifically, in this present age people cannot do without the use of technology. For it's has played a vital and recognisable role in making life much more easier, accessible, convenient and reliable. As earlier mentioned, the impact of technology cannot be left out in the development and smooth running of administration in an higher institution of learning such as The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

Furthermore, the use of technology in the operations and management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan has made it easier for both the students and the management alike. To illustrate this, the availability of the E-library, that gives access to students to extract useful and benefitting information via the computer, has helped in facilitating their reading capability. The introduction of the E-clearance portal is yet another benefit of technology in the institution. Though not perfect, but to a large extent, the system has eased the operation of clearance of newly admitted students. 

The students can also make any payment relating to the institution without the involvement of third parties or engagement in unnecessary complications or complexities through the use of the institution's E-portal. These payments which includes the registration of course form, lodging of complaints and uploading of results. Moreso, the Students Union Government (SUG) disseminate information via online memorandum for the students and also serves as an avenue for the institution to carry along the students on the happenings in the school campus.

The National Association of Public Administration Students Electoral Committee (NAPADSEC) announced the results of the 2024/25 NAPADS election held through a realease. The election process was led by the Head of Department with the presence of the department lecturers,stakeholders,Electoral Committee of the department,NAPADS press and Candidates Agents to witness and coordinate the voting process. PROJECT SUPERVISION ALLOCATION FOR HND 2 STUDENTS

By:NAPADS Press The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, addressed the HND 2 students on project supervision on November 26, 2024 at PAD hall . He assured the students that the list of allocated supervisors would be made available before the end of the week. Dr. Oyewo emphasized the importance of individual effort in project completion, stating that it is an opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills and build their confidence. He also announced that a project seminar would be organized to orient students on the basic rules and procedures for successful project writing and defense. The Head of Department strictly advised students with pending issues to resolve them promptly to avoid delays in project allocation. He warned that late completion of projects would result in an additional year of project writing.
