THE POLYTECHNIC, IBADAN MOURNS THE PASSING OF A DISTINGUISHED ACADEMICIAN AND LEADER

It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that The Polytechnic, Ibadan announces the passing of Dr. Kehinde Faniyi, the esteemed Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies, Chief Lecturer in the Department of Music, and a visionary leader who dedicated her life to the service of education, innovation, and institutional development.

Dr. Kehinde Faniyi was a trailblazer — a woman of excellence, intellect, and boundless compassion. Throughout her distinguished career, she embodied the core values of academic leadership and integrity, setting a shining example for both staff and students. As Dean, she brought fresh energy and inclusive leadership to the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies, promoting progressive reforms and fostering a culture of academic excellence. Her unique blend of scholarly depth and creative brilliance left a lasting impression on generations of students.

A champion of innovation and sustainable development, Dr. Kehinde Faniyi consistently advocated for initiatives that elevated the institution's standards. Her unwavering commitment to research, academic collaboration, and student empowerment earned her respect across all faculties and beyond the walls of the Polytechnic.Her leadership was not driven by titles but by purpose. She led with humility, inspired through action, and touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

We extends our heartfelt condolences to her family, colleagues, students, and the broader academic community. As we grieve this great loss, we also celebrate a life that exemplified dedication, resilience, and visionary service.

Oyewo, held an examination briefing which took place at pad hall at exactly 12:40pm today Thursday Feb 27 2025 together with Mr Y.B Wahab and Mrs  Oke Olayinka ahead of the upcoming exams.   BY: NAPADS press In an open contest of NAPADS Executives election of The Department of Public Administration.The Polytechnic, Ibadan, held today November 7, 2024, Adekanbi Adeyinka Oluwapelumi emerges as National Association of Public Administration Students (NAPADS)President-elect. The National Association of Public Administration Students Electoral Committee (NAPADSEC) announced the results of the 2024/25 NAPADS election held through a realease. The election process was led by the Head of Department with the presence of the department lecturers,stakeholders,Electoral Committee of the department,NAPADS press and Candidates Agents to witness and coordinate the voting process. The open election, conducted for the HND 2 and ND 2 classes, witnessed active student participation in the democratic process, with significant enthusiasm displayed throughout the day with a total number of 152 voters. PROJECT SUPERVISION ALLOCATION FOR HND 2 STUDENTS

By:NAPADS Press The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, addressed the HND 2 students on project supervision on November 26, 2024 at PAD hall . He assured the students that the list of allocated supervisors would be made available before the end of the week. Dr. Oyewo emphasized the importance of individual effort in project completion, stating that it is an opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills and build their confidence. He also announced that a project seminar would be organized to orient students on the basic rules and procedures for successful project writing and defense. The Head of Department strictly advised students with pending issues to resolve them promptly to avoid delays in project allocation. He warned that late completion of projects would result in an additional year of project writing.
