It is with deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss that The Polytechnic, Ibadan announces the passing of Dr. Kehinde Faniyi, the esteemed Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies, Chief Lecturer in the Department of Music, and a visionary leader who dedicated her life to the service of education, innovation, and institutional development.

Dr. Kehinde Faniyi was a trailblazer — a woman of excellence, intellect, and boundless compassion. Throughout her distinguished career, she embodied the core values of academic leadership and integrity, setting a shining example for both staff and students. As Dean, she brought fresh energy and inclusive leadership to the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies, promoting progressive reforms and fostering a culture of academic excellence. Her unique blend of scholarly depth and creative brilliance left a lasting impression on generations of students.

A champion of innovation and sustainable development, Dr. Kehinde Faniyi consistently advocated for initiatives that elevated the institution's standards. Her unwavering commitment to research, academic collaboration, and student empowerment earned her respect across all faculties and beyond the walls of the Polytechnic.Her leadership was not driven by titles but by purpose. She led with humility, inspired through action, and touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

We extends our heartfelt condolences to her family, colleagues, students, and the broader academic community. As we grieve this great loss, we also celebrate a life that exemplified dedication, resilience, and visionary service.
