PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT RELEASES 2025/2026 SECOND SEMESTER COURSE ALLOCATION, LECTURES BEGIN APRIL 7

Public Administration Department, The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has released the course allocation and lecturer assignments for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic session, with lectures scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 7.
The allocation covers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) students in both Full-Time and Daily Part-Time programmes.
According to the document signed by the Head of Department, students are expected to take note of their courses and assigned lecturers ahead of the commencement of lectures next week.
ND I students are to offer courses including Principles and Ecology of Administration, Introduction to Psychology, Citizenship Education, Introduction to Computer, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Nigeria Government and Politics I, Introduction to Community Development and Local Government Administration I.
Dr. Bukola Akinola was assigned to Nigeria Government and Politics I, while Mr. Yusuf Wahab will handle Introduction to Community Development. Dr. Oyekunle Oyewo will teach Local Government Administration I.
For ND II students, major courses include Seminar in Public Administration, Introduction to Public Finance, Principles of Human Resources Management, Local Government Administration, Administration of Civil Society and Non-Governmental Organisations, Introduction to Intergovernmental Relations, Nigerian Labour Law and E-Governance.
Mrs. Adeyinka Adebayo will handle Seminar in Public Administration, while Mr. Akeem Ganiyu was assigned Introduction to Public Finance. Dr. Oyekunle Oyewo will teach Local Government Administration, while Mr. Yusuf Wahab will lecture Introduction to Intergovernmental Relations.
Dr. Oluseyi Diekola and Mrs. Damilola Olaoye will handle Nigerian Labour Law and E-Governance respectively. The allocation also shows that ND II students will begin their project work under the supervision of lecturers in the department.
Courses listed for ND III students include Introduction to Intergovernmental Relations, Social and Economic Development, Public Administration Ethics and Public Relations, and Theories of State and Democratic Governance.
At the HND I level, students are expected to offer courses such as Principles and Practice of Cooperative, Research Methods I, Traditional Administrative System, Administrative Law, Development Administration I, Globalisation and Public Administration, Advanced Local Government Finance and Entrepreneurship Development.
Dr. Oluseyi Diekola will teach Administrative Law, Dr. Bukola Akinola was assigned Development Administration I, while Mrs. Olayinka Oke will handle Globalisation and Public Administration. Mr. Akeem Ganiyu will teach Advanced Local Government Finance.
HND II students are to offer courses including Administration of Higher Institution, Comparative Local Government, Principles of International Administration, Pension and Insurance Management, Public Management, Public Policy Making and Analysis, Comparative Public Administration and Conflict Management in Public Organisations.
Dr. Oyekunle Oyewo will lecture Public Policy Making and Analysis, while Dr. Bukola Akinola will teach Comparative Public Administration. Conflict Management in Public Organisations will be handled by Dr. Risikat Akinseye.
Entrepreneurship Development and General Studies courses were also retained across all levels as part of efforts to equip students with practical and self-reliance skills.
