Sports Inside Public Administration: ND1 Wins the 2021 HOD'S Football Tournament.

The long awaited final saga of the 2021 HOD's football competition organized by the National Association of Public Administration Students' (NAPADS) came on stage as the final match of the tournament was played at the main pitch (North campus) around 4:30 on the 2nd of June, 2021.



The final match had In attendance the indefatigable Head of the Department in person of Dr. Mrs Risikat Akinseye, Barrister Diekola O.J (Staff Adviser), Mr Yusuff Wahab and some noteable members of able NAPADS stakeholders.


The students of various level were also present to accolades and praise thier players on the pitch with relevant music to entertain the presence of all students in conjunction with a fantastic commentator to make the occasion great and the memorable.



The match set on foot well, very interesting, entertaining and peaceful from the first half where the ND1 scored an early goal  (scored by Neymar) to scare the HND2 players. Then, the HND 2 players struggled to equalize as they put their outmost commitment which all went in vain till the end of the first half. 

 

However, just in few minutes that the second half time started, the ND1 A had an amazing free kick that secured them another unexpected goal. Obviously, the tension increased for the HND 2 as the score reach two(2) goals to null. A fortunate moment for the HND 2, they were very lucky to have penalty that deliver them a goal. 





At this point, everyone was optimistic and eager to know if there could be another opportunity for the HND 2 players to equalize the match, but unfortunately with the tension in them, a penalty kick was awarded and unbelievably the ND1 utilized the great opportunity absolutely to score the penalty and match ended in 3 goals to 1.



The 2019/2020 HOD’s cup of the great public administration department won by ND1 students opened the floor for the Staff Adviser's remark, Barrister O.J. Diekola. According to him, "I am happy because they (ND 1) performed excellently as they were able to utilize their various opportunity". "Everybody is a winner and the only great winner will able to carry the trophy". he said.


 


Barr. Diekola also praised the players of the other team (HND 2) their performance and said the only obstacles for them is that they unable to organize themselves to utilize their opportunities accurately. 

He concluded as he called unto the NAPADS Sport Director, Comrade Oladele Jimoh to ensure that this team(ND 1 ) should be trained consistently as they could accord glory to the department not only at the faculty level but in the school as a whole.



Intermittently, the HOD, Dr. Mrs. Risikat Akinseye eulogized the winning team as she is proud of the entire students to let the tournament went well peaceful and accoladed the performances of the entire players of each level and their contribution to support their association’s sport director throughout the tournament. Wow! She presented medals and trophy to the winners. Common, like every other successful person would be, the ND 1 winning jubilated in excitement.

PROJECT SUPERVISION ALLOCATION FOR HND 2 STUDENTS

By:NAPADS Press The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, addressed the HND 2 students on project supervision on November 26, 2024 at PAD hall . He assured the students that the list of allocated supervisors would be made available before the end of the week. Dr. Oyewo emphasized the importance of individual effort in project completion, stating that it is an opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills and build their confidence. He also announced that a project seminar would be organized to orient students on the basic rules and procedures for successful project writing and defense. The Head of Department strictly advised students with pending issues to resolve them promptly to avoid delays in project allocation. He warned that late completion of projects would result in an additional year of project writing.
