Induction of New Student's Representative Council of NAPADS

 


The program was anchored by the President of the Department, Comrade Bamigbade Ibukun which commenced with proper introduction of Stakeholders of the Department comprising the Executives, the press, the Student Representative Council(SRC), and the Stakeholder Chairman alongside our amiable staff adviser, Mr . Yussuf Bolaji Wahab.



The staff adviser of the department, Mr . Wahab welcomed the SRC, emphasized the power endowed to the SRC, and admonished them to be proactive.

He equally made it known to stakeholders how important a budget is for finance to be well managed. Also, that stakeholders have to work in cooperation with the president to achieve the developmental goals of the department to retain the status of pacesetter on campus.


In the same vein, he explained the basis of governance and how our leaders failed in Nigeria due to ignorance, as he also clarified the necessity to ensure checks and balances to avoid power domination by a particular arm of government in any administration. 


The President stated that the "Public Administration Department" of The Polytechnic, Ibadan Chapter will be 20 years in no time and the celebration is going to be a marvelous as well as an interesting one while the department host the ALUMNI in regards to the activities planned for the event.


Furthermore, the General Secretary, Comrade Onatola lamented how important and urgent it is for all students to pay their National Association of Public Administration Department Students Annual Due, to have their identity card, and propose souvenir in time which would be distributed very soon.


A word of advice was given by the Stakeholder Chairman-Comrade Yussuf, to all organs (the Executives, SRC, and the Press) to work together as pillars for this administration.


The program was declared adjourned by  Comrade Bakare and seconded by Comrade Yewande while the closing prayer was done by Comrade Saoban.

ADEKANBI ADEYINKA OLUWAPELUMI EMERGES AS RHE NEW NAPADS PRESIDENT

  BY: NAPADS press In an open contest of NAPADS Executives election of The Department of Public Administration.The Polytechnic, Ibadan, held today November 7, 2024, Adekanbi Adeyinka Oluwapelumi emerges as National Association of Public Administration Students (NAPADS)President-elect. The National Association of Public Administration Students Electoral Committee (NAPADSEC) announced the results of the 2024/25 NAPADS election held through a realease. The election process was led by the Head of Department with the presence of the department lecturers,stakeholders,Electoral Committee of the department,NAPADS press and Candidates Agents to witness and coordinate the voting process. PROJECT SUPERVISION ALLOCATION FOR HND 2 STUDENTS

By:NAPADS Press The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, addressed the HND 2 students on project supervision on November 26, 2024 at PAD hall . He assured the students that the list of allocated supervisors would be made available before the end of the week. Dr. Oyewo emphasized the importance of individual effort in project completion, stating that it is an opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills and build their confidence. He also announced that a project seminar would be organized to orient students on the basic rules and procedures for successful project writing and defense. The Head of Department strictly advised students with pending issues to resolve them promptly to avoid delays in project allocation. He warned that late completion of projects would result in an additional year of project writing.
