Dr. Akinseye Risikat Abimbola 


Dr. Akinseye Risikat Abimbola was born in Ibadan, Oyo state on the 22nd of April, some decades ago. She attended kwara polytechnic Secondary School, Ilorin. Later proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for her first degree in 1998 and graduated with B.A Public Administration. Her M.sc in public Administration was Obtained from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife Osun State, Nigeria in 2011.

She is just an Oliver twist as she went back to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where she bagged her Ph.D. in Public Administration in the year 2016. She is a prolific writer and a researcher. She is the Author of Nigerian political life, Aspect of cooperative studies, Administrative Theories, Principles of Management and Perspectives in Entrepreneurship, and Small  Business Management among others.

She is a member of many professional bodies such as; Member of chartered institute of Local Government and Public Administration, 

 America Society for Public Administration (ASPA), 

 and Southeastern Conference for Public Administration (SECOPA). 

As an administrator of repute, courageous, disciplined, and hardworking, Dr. Akinseye Risikat Abimbola is currently the Head of department of Public Administration, The polytechnic,Ibadan.

She’s Happily married with lovely children.

Oyewo, held an examination briefing which took place at pad hall at exactly 12:40pm today Thursday Feb 27 2025 together with Mr Y.B Wahab and Mrs  Oke Olayinka ahead of the upcoming exams. The briefing aimed to provide clear and detailed information about the context, objectives, procedures, and evaluation criteria of the examination for both stale and fresh students. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the department's dress code, stating that students must wear the official department attire, white and black, to the exam hall. "Any student who appears in different attire may not be allowed to write the exams," he warned. The HOD encouraged students to prepare well for the exams, saying, "As you lay your bed, you lie on it, and hard work is an antidote to oppression.   BY: NAPADS press In an open contest of NAPADS Executives election of The Department of Public Administration.The Polytechnic, Ibadan, held today November 7, 2024, Adekanbi Adeyinka Oluwapelumi emerges as National Association of Public Administration Students (NAPADS)President-elect. The National Association of Public Administration Students Electoral Committee (NAPADSEC) announced the results of the 2024/25 NAPADS election held through a realease. The election process was led by the Head of Department with the presence of the department lecturers,stakeholders,Electoral Committee of the department,NAPADS press and Candidates Agents to witness and coordinate the voting process. The open election, conducted for the HND 2 and ND 2 classes, witnessed active student participation in the democratic process, with significant enthusiasm displayed throughout the day with a total number of 152 voters. PROJECT SUPERVISION ALLOCATION FOR HND 2 STUDENTS

By:NAPADS Press The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, addressed the HND 2 students on project supervision on November 26, 2024 at PAD hall . He assured the students that the list of allocated supervisors would be made available before the end of the week. Dr. Oyewo emphasized the importance of individual effort in project completion, stating that it is an opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills and build their confidence. He also announced that a project seminar would be organized to orient students on the basic rules and procedures for successful project writing and defense. The Head of Department strictly advised students with pending issues to resolve them promptly to avoid delays in project allocation. He warned that late completion of projects would result in an additional year of project writing.
