NAPADS press; To be a successful student of this great department is not easy, how do you carry out your primary assignment as a student and run a business together at a time?
Adewumi; Thank you, I must confess it is not easy at all, being a student here and running a business at the same time, I will run from lecture room to shop after the class, there's a lot of stress since I don't have a choice and I don't have anyone to assist me because I know It's my job and I focus and believe I can do it so far so good "Alhamdulilah", Almighty Allah is helping me.
NAPADS press; when do you start your business and can you tell us what induced you to do it?
Adewumi; I started the two businesses some months ago and I was motivated into this business through my experience of work and what I learned in school during my ND program. I have worked as a staff and sales attendant in two various distribution companies and as well as PAGA (POS) attendant.
NAPADS press; What is your driving force, I mean your motivational factor?
Adewumi; My passion is to be self-employed, I have worked in different organizations and I hope to start my firm. I equally love schooling, since there is no one to sponsor I have to start doing what I love to earn ends meet so as not to be a burden on others, carry your cross and I will carry mine. An adage said "Alasepari ni aye n yin enikan kiki alasepati" so far I had my OND since 2017, my HND in view. when I have my HND certificate with me, it will be mine.
NAPADS press; We all know to every coin are two sides and he who laughs last laughs best, what are the challenges you face, and how do you overcome them?
Adewumi; Sure every coin has two sides....it all depends on the choice you make and the way you make it, what intrigues you to make it, those are the things that will determine whether it will be a favourable or negative one. Similarly, I do not compare myself with others I may be going through a lot now but believe me, he who laugh last laughs best.
NAPADS press; How do you expand your business among friends, colleagues, and peers?
Adewumi; Thank you, I advertise my goods in any place I found myself, sometimes where you advertise your goods, you may not know they need it urgently but to my surprise, they always patronize me buoyantly.
NAPADS press; What are the support from the Parents?
Adewumi; Based on their Condition and capacity they are trying their possible best to satisfy me.
NAPADS press; What’s your advice to students who are not appreciating entrepreneurship in this current economic crisis?
Adewumi; in the 21st century, we need to do something to complement school, with that one will not be stranded after school because the government of Nigeria can not employ all graduates. Education will help us to manage our businesses uniquely.
