By dreamer pen

Depression is one of the major factor of suicide. It is a chronic feeling of emptiness caused by anxiety, insecurity and inferiority complex. Most times depression in adulthood is triggered by the anxiety and depression experienced in adolescence. In teenagers, issues like peer pressure, environment, emotional and psychological event can trigger depression.

Some college student are suffering from anxiety and depression because they might find it hard to get familiar with the changes in experiences, culture and lifestyle. They might start losing interest in social activities that used to amuse them, they find it difficult to concentrate in class and lot more.

Sometimes people with depression may try to hide the signs from others and some might not even realize that they are depressed. Although some symptoms such as sadness or hopelessness can be easy to recognized, while other symptoms may be less obvious.

Depression can make victims do things they wouldn't have done in their right state of mind because they aren't mentally, emotionally and psychologically stable.

Depression can be treated by seeing a therapist, friends support, healthy environment and using medications.

Check up on that friend that you think is acting weird lately, you might be of help. Lots of people are hurting themselves and dying from depression.
