Impacts of TikTok on Students Lifestyle

   TikTok is an app that allows users to create dancing or lifestyle videos. Over the past few years, it has grown in popularity, especially among college students. 


   The Chinese software, an increasingly common app used by users of all ages called TikTok, is a property of Byte Dance. Due to its short, easy-to-watch films, the app is extremely addictive, with users spending an average of 46 minutes per day on it. Users can create any types of videos they want on the app and post them for anyone to see ranging from 15 seconds to 1 minute. Tiktok has both positive and harmful effects on our brain. 


   What advantages does TikTok have for students?

Learning new things is one of TikTok's benefits. People share knowledge on a variety of topics such as entertainment, everyday living advice or hacks, and even ads for various goods and services. A lot of the information is original and practical.


  Advice from other users in your age range is another advantage of TikTok. People in similar age groups tend to understand one another better and can therefore give sound advice that will be taken seriously.


    The spread of optimism is also a  beneficial impact of TikTok. On TikTok, a lot of people want to spread encouragement and knowledge regarding crucial issues like self-love.


      What Are the Dangers of TikTok?

   Anyone using TikTok can become engrossed in the app and experience something akin to addiction, where they are unable to leave it. People get increasingly dependent on social media as they use it more frequently each week.

  Although TikTok can be an amusing and engaging app, it has been shown to be bad for you and your brain, especially in terms of decreasing your attention span.


TikTok also fosters a poisonous environment. Users are frequently terminated for bad behavior rather than being told that it is incorrect.


We only need to keep in mind to use TikTok sparingly and in a healthy way. It's a terrific software that can be used to collaborate with people all over the world.

PROJECT SUPERVISION ALLOCATION FOR HND 2 STUDENTS

By:NAPADS Press The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, addressed the HND 2 students on project supervision on November 26, 2024 at PAD hall . He assured the students that the list of allocated supervisors would be made available before the end of the week. Dr. Oyewo emphasized the importance of individual effort in project completion, stating that it is an opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills and build their confidence. He also announced that a project seminar would be organized to orient students on the basic rules and procedures for successful project writing and defense. The Head of Department strictly advised students with pending issues to resolve them promptly to avoid delays in project allocation. He warned that late completion of projects would result in an additional year of project writing.
