The National association of public administration students (NAPADS) holds a friendly match amongst the students of the department (across all levels including the PT). The match started at exactly 12 noon, today 3rd of November, at the main football pitch North campus, The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
Actually the friendly match came in three folds as planned. The PT finalists (ND2 and HND2) defeated their fresh students (ND1 and HND1) with just a goal to null, as the match ended at exactly 1:00 pm.
The second kick off started like a battle between the HND 1 and ND 2 full time students. Until the second half of the match, Victor (HND 1) scored against their counterparts and that made them had the ground for the day.
The third face of the match commenced at exactly 2:30 pm. Surprisingly, the ND 1 (full time students) was able to shake the heart of their HND 2 brothers, but unfortunately for them, the HND students was able to make them realize the seniority as they were able to conceive two goals in the first half, of which the first was a penalty shot by Adekunle, and the second goal was a brilliant one from slim. Finally, Obinna (ND 1) was able to score against their opponents as the game ended as 2-1 goals by the respective teams.
The organizer, comrade Oyebade Ogooluwa Julius, the NAPADS sports director was so delighted for the success of the match. In the words of Comrade Ude Chinaza Nnenna, the NAPADS president, "I was so surprised with the performance and turnout of the students despite the short notice."
" In fact, the ones that have proved to be exceptional as they played well have been noted and will surely be added to the departments’ team for the interdepartmental football competitions, HOD’s cup and the SUG football competition that would be coming up by the second semester,"she concluded.
