Workshop in Administration; Public Administration Department holds her annual Workshop

The department of Public Administration, under the Administration of Dr. (Mrs) R.A. Akinseye held her annual workshop seminar for the HND 2 students on Tuesday 15th of November, 2022 at PAD Hall 2 of the department. 

Mr Y.B. Wahab a lecturer of the department opened the floor of the event by stating importance of the workshop, as well as reasons why all HND 2 students must partake in it.

The National Anthem was duly observed by all the students.

"I give thanks to the Almighty God for the lives of all the students in the department and everyone present. I commend the effort of all the lecturers as we all work towards the growth of the department. The purpose of this workshop is purely for academics and not for any merriment or ceremonial activities", Dr. (Mrs) R.A. Akinseye, the Head of Department said in her opening remarks. 

She also promised all the students, including the ND 1 and HND 1, that were present, that by the next workshop programme a large venue will be arranged to ensure convenience for everyone.

Barrister Diekola, the Staff Adviser of the department, stated his remark the roles of an Administrator.

"The reasons for the workshop is to groom all the students to be a fantastic Administrator and training them to be useful in every sectors they later find themselves in life”. As one of the panelists, I will state the parameters that will be used to judge each group and their members. Ranging from dressing, content, presentation as well as the courage of the presentation.

During workshop presentation, a particular group was duly cautioned due to the nonchalant mode of dressing of a member of the group. The HOD warned all the HND 1 students against the coming year that they should take cognisance of how they will appear and present themselves.

Mrs Adegbembo, a lecturer from GNS Department commends all the students of Public Administration for hard work and how they were able to show forth their intelligence during their presentation. She also made some corrections on how to apply the rule of concord appropriately in their sentence construction.

Dr Oyewo, a member of the panelists, in his remarks advised all the students on their choice of words that each field has its own terms used, he admonishes the students to imbibe this culture for their subsequent presentations. He further stressed that each and everyone of them should work on themselves for better performance in subsequent time.

Dr Akinseye commended the workshop committee and also appreciate the students contribution as they donated chairs to the department.




The workshop presentation had in attendance Dr. (Mrs) R.A. Akinseye, the Head of Department of Public Administration, Barrister O.J. Diekola, the Staff Adviser, Dr O.J. Adeyeye, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, Mr. A.A. Ganiyu, Mr. Y.B. Wahab, Mrs. T.O. Olaniru, Mrs. O. Olayinka as well as dignitaries from other departments and institution, Mrs. Toyin Feyisetan from Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Department of Psychology, Mrs Adegbembo and others.
