FIGHT YOUR OWN BATTLE; DON’T INHERIT YOUR FRIENDS ENEMY

By: El-Nino

Beyond reasonable doubt, life is “politics”. Harold Lasswell in his own thought, enjoins that politics is who gets what, when and how. The question of how ?has been the basis of struggle by humans. Anyone that must survive it in life must be able to play the game of politics to a reasonable and applaudable extent. Hence, the length of the extents you can go determines the standard you attain. Simply put, it is the politics that make life imbalanced.

For some of us that grew up in a “face me I face you”environment, we have been introduced to the politics of life from a very tender age when parents, especially mothers, will instigate their children against other families right under the same roof. Politics! Many more have seen this instigation right inside our churches. In those days, sometimes, good things that ought to come to us will elude us because we are joining our parents to fight a battle that does not concern us.

However, recently, it dawned on me that there is a very big possibility that many people out there are presently suffering because they chose to fight a battle that does not belong to them. Many more are missing out on big opportunities because they are acting on information they received from a third party about someone that could have been of help to them and their destiny at large.

While it is okay to take caution in our relationship with people sometimes, please as much as you can, avoid making enemies of someone because of what you were told about them. Remember, what you were told about that person is the perspective from which such a person is seeing the person.

It doesn't matter how much you try to be good, you will still be on the bad record of some people, and you cannot be hundred percent loved. However, be smart, diplomatic and reasonable in the battles you fight. God is the only Jehova (Olùgbèjà). Don't go and keep malice with your destiny helper just because someone has told you something about such a person. God no go shame us.

As you go this week and beyond putting your very best into whatever you find yourself doing, small or big, remember, tough times don't last and whatever you are passing through is just a phase that shall pass.

Do have a blissful and productive week ahead, and remember El-Nino loves and cares a lot about you. Always remember that when you are feeling down and alone. Stay safe and healthy and do well to try again, when encounters seems to have pulled you down.
