Honour Your Father and Your Mother....

My generation is getting a lot of things wrong and on a daily basis, we keep falling into more errors. One of the things we are majorly known for is immorality and one that is seemingly being ignored and no one is talking about the constant geometry growth of how much we are tending to dishonour our parents.

I have this pain in my heart whenever I see my people display ignorance in the name of woke and "I don't owe anybody anything" disrespecting and dishonouring their parents. A lot of damage is being done and it is really crazy. The future may remain blurry if no intervention is made on time to enlighten my people on how best to honour our parents.

One very big mistake anyone can make is to underestimate the power and influence of "The Parent" over his or her life. This I say irrespective of the personality of your parents. Either good or bad.

Going Biblical, the simple instruction was to "Honour Your Father and Your Mother...." with no strings attached. It did not say to honour them only if they are good or when things are rosy. Just honour them. 

It doesn't matter the stuff your Father and Mother are made up of, your number one duty and responsibility as a child to them is to honour them, irrespective. If they happen to be toxic and spiritually unhealthy for close-range honouring, you have the option of honouring them from afar if going too close will be dangerous to your mental, spiritual and physical health. But never should you live a life of dishonour to your Father and your Mother.

Should you already been on the lane of dishonouring and not caring about your parents, please, for the love of God, you can retrace your steps and begin to do the needful because "Ìbùkún ni fún ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀ náà tó fi ọgbọ́n ṣeé" like the saying goes.

As you go this week and beyond putting your very best into whatever you find yourself doing, small or big, remember, tough times don't last and whatever you are passing through is just a phase that shall pass. And not forgetting the fact that respecting and honoring your parents can make you prosperous, it make things easy when it seems to be difficult for every other person. 

Have a blissful and wonderful celebrations in this festive season, and remember that El-Nino loves and cares a lot about you. Always remember that when you are feeling down and alone. Stay safe and healthy.

PROJECT SUPERVISION ALLOCATION FOR HND 2 STUDENTS

By:NAPADS Press The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, addressed the HND 2 students on project supervision on November 26, 2024 at PAD hall . He assured the students that the list of allocated supervisors would be made available before the end of the week. Dr. Oyewo emphasized the importance of individual effort in project completion, stating that it is an opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills and build their confidence. He also announced that a project seminar would be organized to orient students on the basic rules and procedures for successful project writing and defense. The Head of Department strictly advised students with pending issues to resolve them promptly to avoid delays in project allocation. He warned that late completion of projects would result in an additional year of project writing.
