Era of proactiveness living up to expectation

   The Departmental Executives of Public Administration led by Com. Ude Chinaza Nnenna which is tagged Era of Proactiveness has been making significant strides towards creating a more engaging and supportive academic environment for its students. Led by a team of dedicated and innovative student leaders, the union has implemented several initiatives aimed at improving the academic and social experiences of students within the department.


One of the union's most notable achievements has been the set up of tutorial classes for its new students during the first semester. The tutorial has been highly successful in helping new students adjust to school life and navigate the academic demands of their courses.

 The union has also been actively involved in promoting academic excellence among its members as well as advocating for student rights and interests. They have been actively involved in discussions with the department and school management and stakeholders on a range of issues, from tuition fees, exam date, and academic policies to campus safety and security. As a result of their efforts, several changes had been effected, including the build up to the commencement of the first semester examination. 

In addition to their academic efforts, the union has also been organizing sporting events and activities to promote a sense of community within the students of the department. These include departmental friendly matches, Stalites and Freshers friendly matches and several training for the upcoming Dean's Cup. The union has also device a fast method to keep students informed of upcoming events and opportunities.

The achievements of the departmental level union government have not gone unnoticed. They have distributed Souvenirs between the students, and as well make tangible renovation, and implementation in the department. They have captured the attention of other executive bodies and the wider student body being the first executive body to have started distributing souvenirs to students. 

The success of the departmental executives can be attributed to the passion and dedication of its student leaders. They have been successful in identifying the needs of their fellow students and implementing initiatives to address those needs. The union has demonstrated the power of student leadership and the importance of student involvement in decision-making processes.

In conclusion the achievements of the departmental executives of Public Administration tagged Era of Proactiveness serve as an inspiration to other student organizations. The union's efforts have made significant contributions towards creating a more supportive and engaging academic environment for its students. We commend them for their outstanding work and look forward to seeing more of their accomplishments in the future.

ADEKANBI ADEYINKA OLUWAPELUMI EMERGES AS RHE NEW NAPADS PRESIDENT

  BY: NAPADS press In an open contest of NAPADS Executives election of The Department of Public Administration.The Polytechnic, Ibadan, held today November 7, 2024, Adekanbi Adeyinka Oluwapelumi emerges as National Association of Public Administration Students (NAPADS)President-elect. The National Association of Public Administration Students Electoral Committee (NAPADSEC) announced the results of the 2024/25 NAPADS election held through a realease. The election process was led by the Head of Department with the presence of the department lecturers,stakeholders,Electoral Committee of the department,NAPADS press and Candidates Agents to witness and coordinate the voting process. PROJECT SUPERVISION ALLOCATION FOR HND 2 STUDENTS

By:NAPADS Press The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, addressed the HND 2 students on project supervision on November 26, 2024 at PAD hall . He assured the students that the list of allocated supervisors would be made available before the end of the week. Dr. Oyewo emphasized the importance of individual effort in project completion, stating that it is an opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills and build their confidence. He also announced that a project seminar would be organized to orient students on the basic rules and procedures for successful project writing and defense. The Head of Department strictly advised students with pending issues to resolve them promptly to avoid delays in project allocation. He warned that late completion of projects would result in an additional year of project writing.
