Newly Elected NAPADS Executives Inaugurated Amidst Praises for Outgoing Leaders

In a remarkable and dignified ceremony held today at the Resource Center of the Department, the newly elected executives of the National Association of Public Administration Students (NAPADS) were inaugurated, marking the beginning of their tenure for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The event, which was anchored by Com. Adetoro Usman, the department's Stakeholder Chairman, was graced by distinguished guests, including the Head of Department, Barr. Oluseyi Joseph Diekola, the Director of DPP, Dr. (Mrs) Risikat Abímbólá Akinseye, the Department Staff Adviser, Mr. Ganiyu Akeem Adewale, and former Head of Department of Local Government and Development Studies Department, Alhaji Lukuman, Mr. Yusuf Wahab, the outgoing executives, members of the Department Stakeholder, among others. Press representatives from the Press Council and NAPADS Press were also in attendance to capture the historic moment.
The atmosphere was filled with a sense of optimism and camaraderie as the department gathered to witness the transition of leadership within NAPADS. The outgoing executives, led by Com. Ude Chinanza Nnenna, were highly praised and rated for their remarkable achievements during their tenure, setting the bar high for their successors.
The Head of Department, Barr. Oluseyi Joseph Diekola, welcomed everyone to the inauguration and commended the outgoing executives for their exceptional service to NAPADS and the department as a whole. He expressed confidence in the new leadership's ability to uphold the values and traditions of excellence in Public Administration.
Com. Ude Chinanza Nnenna, the outgoing President, also gave a heartfelt welcome address in which she thanked the department for their unwavering support during her administration. She highlighted some of the impacts of her team members, and especially thanked her General Secretary, Com. Olayiwola Azeez Bamidele, for their various inputs which led to the success of her administration.
Dr. (Mrs) Risikat Abímbólá Akinseye and Alhaji Lukman, in their words of advice to the incoming executives, stressed the importance of leadership, accountability, and service to the student body. They urged the new leaders to build on the solid foundation laid by their predecessors and work tirelessly to bring about positive change in the department.
Mr. Ganiyu Akeem Adewale led the swearing-in ceremony, administering the oath of office to the newly elected executives, emphasizing the solemn commitment they were making to serve their fellow students diligently.
In his acceptance speech, President Muftau Ridwan Akinkunmi expressed profound gratitude, outlined his vision for a collaborative and inclusive NAPADS, and pledged unwavering commitment to advancing the interests of the Public Administration students.
In closing, Mr. Yusuf Wahab delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who attended and played pivotal roles in making the event a success. He recognized the collective effort of the NAPADS community in ensuring the smooth transition of leadership.
The inauguration of the new NAPADS executives represents a fresh chapter in the department's history, one filled with promise and potential.
