Dr. Akinseye Graced with Prestigious Chieftaincy Title as Asiwaju Iyalaje of Ido Local Government

On the 7th of October, 2023, the Assembly Hall at the North Campus of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, was adorned with esteemed guests from both within and outside the institution, gathering to honor and celebrate the remarkable achievement of Dr. (Mrs.) Risikat Akinseye. She was officially recognized as the Asiwaju Iyalaje of Awaye Oloronbo villa in Ido local government.


Distinguished figures such as Prof. Adebiyi Kazeem, the Rector of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Dr. Mrs. Faniyi, the Dean Elect of FBCS, Alhaji Kunle Busari, the Pioneer HOD of Public Administration department, Alhaji Adeleke, the General Manager of Polyibadan microfinance bank, Mama Salawu, former Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Olaniyan, Director of VSESC, and the Bursar joined the celebration to honor Dr. Akinseye.

Chief Dr. Risikat Abimbola Akinseye, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Administration and the Director of CPCA, has added this prestigious chieftaincy title to her illustrious journey, showcasing her excellence beyond academia at The Polytechnic, Ibadan.



The event was graced by lecturers and students from the distinguished Department of Public Administration, adding to the significance of this august occasion.

PROJECT SUPERVISION ALLOCATION FOR HND 2 STUDENTS

By:NAPADS Press The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, addressed the HND 2 students on project supervision on November 26, 2024 at PAD hall . He assured the students that the list of allocated supervisors would be made available before the end of the week. Dr. Oyewo emphasized the importance of individual effort in project completion, stating that it is an opportunity for students to develop their critical thinking skills and build their confidence. He also announced that a project seminar would be organized to orient students on the basic rules and procedures for successful project writing and defense. The Head of Department strictly advised students with pending issues to resolve them promptly to avoid delays in project allocation. He warned that late completion of projects would result in an additional year of project writing.
