NAPADS SRC: ALAGBE MICHAEL AKOREDE EMERGES SPEAKER

The National Association of Public Administration Students (NAPADS) of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has inaugurated its  legislative arm, the Students Representative Council (SRC) for the 2023/2024 academic session, on Wednesday, February 7th, 2024, at the Napads Secretariat.

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Department's Staff Adviser, Mr Akeem Ganiyu, who congratulated the newly elected members and urged them to uphold the values and objectives of the association.


The highlight of the ceremony was the emergence of Alagbe Michael Akorede, an HND 2 Full Time student of the department, as the Speaker of the SRC. The other positions were split across other levels and programme of the department.

The other elected members are as follows: Adeyemo Comfort (Deputy Speaker, HND 1 FT), Fatayo Quadri Ayodeji (Chief Whip, ND 2 FT), Sotona Quazeem Gbenga (Clerk, HND 1 PT), Ogunsona Mary Temitope (Member, ND 2 DPP) and Okeowo Anuoluwapo Deborah (Majority Leader, ND 1 PT)


The other members (none elected) that makes up the SRC are: Oshodi Haleemat Gbemisola (Member, HND 2 FT), Adekunle Ruth Anike (Member, ND 2 PT), Talabi Arinola Adebola (Member, ND 2 PT), Olayiwola Sodiq Olamilekan (Member, HND 1 FT), Olowosoke Oreoluwa Ibikunmi (Member, ND 1 FT) and Bisola Francis (Member, HND 1 PT).

The programme also had in attendance the NAPADS President, Comrade Mufutau Ridwan Akinkunmi, the General Secretary, Comrade Olalekan Qudus Alao, and the Editor-in-chief of NAPADS Press, Comrade Adeniji Sodiq Ademola.


The NAPADS President commended the SRC for its successful inauguration and assured them of his support and cooperation. He also appealed to the students to join hands with the SRC to achieve the goals and vision of the association.
