PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT HOST SUCCESSFUL SEMINAR PRESENTATION

The Department of Public Administration department Hosts Successful Workshop seminar. On Friday January 31, 2025, at sewage hall 1.The workshop seminar commenced at exactly 9:40 am with the recitation of the National Anthem and the Oyo State Anthem.
Dr. O.O. Oyewo, Head of Department, delivered an opening speech, encouraging students to be confident and fearless during their presentations. He emphasized the importance of the seminar exercise in preparing students for future challenges beyond the institution's walls.
Dr. Oyewo commended the lecturer in charge of the seminar for her role in preparing the students for the presentation. Other lecturers, including Mr. Wahab, Mrs. Olaoye, and Mrs. Oke, also encouraged the students to perform their best during the presentations.
The invited guest of honor and external assessor, Dr. E.A. Adesiyan from the Department of Local Government and Development Studies, commended the Department of Public Administration for its practical teaching methods. He emphasized the importance of the seminar as an opportunity for students to discover their potential and stand out among their peers.
Dr. Adesiyan also advised the students to pay attention to details, take advantage of the assessment, and not be intimidated by the audience. He also encouraged the audience to take notes and observe the presentation process for academic excellence.
The presentation session featured 29 groups of ND 2 students, who showcased their presentation skills on their various research work topics, including local government's role in environmental sanitation, youth empowerment in Nigeria, and human capital development in the Nigerian system. Among the numbers of groups that presented, Group 20 appear outstandingly well with the highest points of 39
The Head of Department, Dr. O.O. Oyewo, congratulated all the groups for their performance and encouraged them to improve further. The program was also graced by lecturers from the department, including Dr. T.O. Adeyeye and Mr. Ganiyu.
The computation process was headed by Barrister Diekola, who announced the scores and encouraged the students with applause. The students are expected to wait for the computation process to hear their results.
The seminar workshop was a huge success, providing a platform for students to showcase their research skills and knowledge. The Department of Public Administration's commitment to practical teaching methods and student development is commendable.
