SECOND SEMESTER EXAMINATION BRIEFING
By: NAPADS Press
Dr. Oyewo began by commending the dedication and support of Mr. Y. B. Wahab and Mrs. Olayinka, acknowledging their consistent contributions to the department and their invaluable roles in facilitating a smooth and credible student election process.
In his address, Dr. Oyewo reiterated that the department’s examination rules remain unchanged, emphasizing the zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice. He warned that any student found engaging in any form of malpractice will face strict disciplinary actions as outlined by departmental and institutional policies.
He particularly stressed the prohibition of mobile phones in examination venues. According to him, “Any student caught with a phone during the exam will be sanctioned accordingly. Furthermore, the department will not be held responsible for any phone reported missing within the exam premises. Do not bring it at all.”
Dr. Oyewo further urged students to protect the integrity and reputation of the department by building on its existing legacy of excellence and discipline. “You are ambassadors of this department. Let your conduct reflect honor, not disgrace,” he said.
Key Examination Guidelines:
Dress Code: White and black attire with sandals or shoes.
Appearance: Neat and moderate hairstyles are compulsory.
Time: Arrive at the examination venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.
Identification: All students must present valid means of identification – school fees receipt and examination docket.
He concluded by advising students to prepare thoroughly for their exams. “Study hard, so you won’t feel the need to cheat. Excellence is earned, not stolen,” he added.
Also speaking at the event, Mr. Ganiyu, a lecturer in the department, echoed the HOD’s sentiments. He encouraged students to take their academics seriously and approach the examination with determination and focus. “Success is inevitable when you combine hard work with integrity,” he noted, while wishing all students success in their exams.
This serves as a reminder that the Department of Public Administration remains committed to academic excellence, integrity, and discipline. Students are urged to comply fully with the rules and uphold the values that define the department.
