RISE AGENDA CLINCHES VICTORY IN TRANSPARENT PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION ELECTIONS

The Department of Public Administration, The Polytechnic Ibadan, held a peaceful, transparent, and democratic departmental election on Thursday, July 31, 2025. The process culminated in the emergence of Aluko Adedeji David, the presidential candidate of the RISE Agenda, as President-elect.
The election was conducted under the capable leadership of the incumbent departmental president, Comrade Adekanbi Adeyinka Oluwapelumi, with the full support of the Electoral Committee chaired by Comrade Olumide Mulero.
Voting commenced promptly at 10:00 AM at the Public Administration Secretariat. The exercise was monitored by the Head of Department, Dr. O.O Oyewo, along with lecturers Mr. Yusuf Wahab and Mrs. O A. OLABODE ensuring due process and transparency. Aspirants' agents were present throughout, and security was maintained by the institution’s Chief Security Officer, Mr. Ojerinde Waheed Ajao, and his team.
Accredited students from ND I, ND II, HND I, and HND II participated in the election using either their departmental receipt or school identity card. The voting concluded at exactly 1:05 PM, after which collation of results began immediately in the presence of student observers and agents.
