STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTS IN-HOUSE ELECTIONS

The Department of Public Administration, the Polytechnic Ibadan held its long-awaited in-house election for the Student Representative Council (SRC) on Thursday, July 28, 2025. This event followed a comprehensive scrutiny and screening process designed to ensure the integrity and transparency of the election.

The election served as a significant milestone in the leadership transition of the SRC, which plays a critical role in representing the student body and voicing their concerns and interests. After a spirited screening session period filled with engaging debates and discussions, YUSUF MUSTAPHA OLAMIDE emerged victorious as the Honorable Speaker of the Student Representative Council, receiving wide support from his peers. Alongside him, NURENI NURUDEEN OLUWAFERANMI was elected as the Deputy Speaker, highlighting a commitment to collaboration and shared governance within the council.

The SRC members extend their heartfelt congratulations to Yusuf and Nureni on their new roles. The council is optimistic about their leadership and eagerly anticipates the innovative ideas and contributions they will bring to enhance student representation and engagement in the department. As they embark on this new date journey, the SRC is excited to work with them in fostering a vibrant and inclusive environment at the department.
