2022; I came, I saw, I conquer

Image
By: Mr_positivism No doubt, one of the things I learnt this year is that no matter how tensed the situation is, you’re going to overcome it, only if you don’t see it as something that can weigh you down. In every situation, train your mind to calm down first, else you might collapse, the situation might even lead to something that will consume you.  What will be will be. Don’t kill yourself before death. Realize the fact that you can not always be right and there’s so many situations you could have handled better, yes, but then the regret of why the idea is coming now, meanwhile it’s gone. Some will even want to injure themselves on that, due to the pressure of emotion. We can’t get promoted without writing an examination, hence, either of the outcome (success or failure), you attract a change from the level of which you were tested on. Failure is literally supposed to be a stepping stone to the next phase of ones life. Failure should rather motivate you. By that gaining the ability...

Honour Your Father and Your Mother....

Image
By: El-Nino My generation is getting a lot of things wrong and on a daily basis, we keep falling into more errors. One of the things we are majorly known for is immorality and one that is seemingly being ignored and no one is talking about the constant geometry growth of how much we are tending to dishonour our parents. I have this pain in my heart whenever I see my people display ignorance in the name of woke and "I don't owe anybody anything" disrespecting and dishonouring their parents. A lot of damage is being done and it is really crazy. The future may remain blurry if no intervention is made on time to enlighten my people on how best to honour our parents. One very big mistake anyone can make is to underestimate the power and influence of "The Parent" over his or her life. This I say irrespective of the personality of your parents. Either good or bad. Going Biblical, the simple instruction was to "Honour Your Father and Your Mother...." with no ...

FIGHT YOUR OWN BATTLE; DON’T INHERIT YOUR FRIENDS ENEMY

Image
By: El-Nino Beyond reasonable doubt, life is “politics”. Harold Lasswell in his own thought, enjoins that politics is who gets what, when and how. The question of how ?has been the basis of struggle by humans. Anyone that must survive it in life must be able to play the game of politics to a reasonable and applaudable extent. Hence, the length of the extents you can go determines the standard you attain. Simply put, it is the politics that make life imbalanced.  For some of us that grew up in a “face me I face you”environment, we have been introduced to the politics of life from a very tender age when parents, especially mothers, will instigate their children against other families right under the same roof. Politics! Many more have seen this instigation right inside our churches. In those days, sometimes, good things that ought to come to us will elude us because we are joining our parents to fight a battle that does not concern us. However, recently, it dawned on me that there is...

Learning to know; a prerequisite for becoming a better student

Image
By: V.bass As portrayed by the protesters, examination is not a true test of knowledge. Nevertheless, it is imperative that nearly all students are prone to having the pressure of the need to have an excellent performance. Pressure which  often comes from the factors that matters most to us. You may be pushed by your dream career or parent screaming down your neck. In higher institutions of today however, some students are not been moved to study even during exams. Some students comes to school for coming sake, some because their friends are as well in school and some come to school just because they want to wear the NYSC uniform, so to those categories of students, education (studying) can even be more stressful. Even among the serious ones, the struggle with long calculations and trying to convince themselves that they enjoy it.  However, on a more neutral ground, some only study to get good grades that could also earn them a good salary at the end of their educational journ...

Path to success

Image
By :True pen The way to success in life is  rough and scary The Path way to success is full of darkness and no light to direct your path The path way to success is scary demons from every sides longing for my  downfall The path way to success is scary no friends to accompany you in this path The path way to success is scary only those who are determined and bold can walk through safely The path is scary only those who holds the weapon of courage can walk through.  No matter how the condition on the path you walk on ,the sun will shine.
